09.2014 – present Mater of College of Urban and Environment Sciences, Peking University How climate change affects vegetation distribution is one of the central issues of global change ecology and has important implications for assessing carbon budget of terrestrial vegetation. Siyang’s work mostly focuses on the response of vegetation distribution to climate changes. Based on the relationship between vegetation distribution and climate, she used species distribution models to reconstruct the vegetation map of China in the last glacial maximum (LGM, 18,000 14C yr BP) and middle-Holocene (MH, 6000 14C yr BP). What’s more, she predicted the future vegetation distribution under different future climate scenarios.
